It’s hard to define in one sentence what we do at the Niagara Falls Public Library in providing excellent customer service, so I thought I would give you a glimpse into a day in the life of a customer service associate at the Library. Some staff arrive prior to opening time to prepare workspaces and to gather and sort items from our overnight drop boxes. These drop boxes are located at each of our four locations to accommodate those who are unable to make it to the Library during our opening hours. As the tasks are many, reinforcements arrive at opening time to take their positions at one of the many service desks. The flow of materials in and out never stops at the Library so staff at the service desks begin to receive in and check these items out, greeting each customer with a smile and a hello. Displays are updated and newspapers prepared for daily readers who make the Library part of their daily ritual. Reservations are made on items not available and research may be done to find out the next hot new fiction title or DVD release. Phone calls are answered and information and referral provided as requested. There are several ways to ask a question at the library, email, phone call or in person - we’re always ready to answer your questions or give you some direction to find the answer. Staff help is here if you need to access one of our many public computer stations as staff are available to help our customers with getting their documents set up or printed. While our personal devices such as cellphones, iPads and tablets can be a great help to us they sometimes can give us a bit of a headache. Customer service staff are ready to lend a hand at any time and help troubleshoot some of the most common problems. Customer Service associates have great suggestions and happily provide many good titles and can recommend any of our great Library programs. Finally, we make cards! Library cards that is, so why not come down to your local Library and take advantage of all our resources, accessible spaces and experience some great customer service too!

2019 was an exciting year for the Niagara Falls Public Library. We hosted some incredible programs, introduced some amazing new collections, and had a lot of fun. However, it was you, the customer, that really made last year so wonderful.
While doing some research the other day, I came across the name of a hotel that I had never heard of before. This is probably due to the fact that there is very little information to be found about the Bath House Hotel.

Chevron. Handlebar. Fu Manchu. Yes, Movember is upon us and seeing as we’re more than halfway through the month those moustaches should be fully grown! While the facial hair keeps things fun, it’s important to remember that the purpose of it all is to raise awareness of men’s health issues.
Clifton Hill, Casino Niagara, Niagara Parks Commission — as much as there is to do in Niagara Falls, there's not always a lot for residents, especially if you're not looking to spend much money.
Sleep Cheap is great, but the rest of the year there's always Niagara Falls Public Library.
Every year on Nov. 11, Canadians pause in silence to remember the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve Canada during times of war and peace.
It seems hard to imagine that today, there are approximately 14,000 hotel and motel rooms available for visitors in the city of Niagara Falls. Because of our famous location, the city's hotel industry has a long and intriguing history. One such hotel that might not be as widely known as its more famous neighbours is the Hotel Lafayette.
