Graphic novels are an exciting genre, and we have books in both the adult and children's areas.
A collection by local emerging authors is showcased at the Victoria Avenue Library.
The Library owns an ever-growing historical and genealogical collection of the City, the Niagara River and Falls, and the Niagara Peninsula. Visit the Local History Collection for more information.
The library offers music CDs, talking books on CD & MP3 discs, Playaways and read-along books/CDs.
CD books, also known as talking books, are audio recordings made by professional actors who read the text of books aloud. They can be a great alternative to radio when travelling in a car or on public transit, and can be listened to while performing other tasks, such as housework or exercise. Playaways are also recorded books, with one book per Playaway - no CD player needed!. Use your own headphones or buy earbuds at the library!
There is a wide selection of music CDs, which are available at each library location.
Read-along book/CD kits are available for both adults and children. They are a great literacy tool; you can listen to the story being read aloud and follow the written word in the book.
