The Niagara Falls Public Library values effective volunteers and welcomes applications for volunteers to assist the Board and Staff.

Visiting Library Service

Interested in bringing the library to others? Volunteers deliver materials to the homes of customers who can't make it to the library. A vehicle is required.

Seed Library & LEGO Robotics Preparation

Help us sort seeds to keep the Seed Library full, or LEGO Robotics kits for children's programs.

Repair Café

Are you good with your hands? Can you fix anything? We're starting a Repair Café and need help from those who are handy, and want to help others fix their items.

Teen Volunteers

Whether you're working on your community involvement hours, wanting to give back, or just looking for something to do, the library offers plenty of opportunities for teens 13 years and up. Join NFPL’s Teen Library Volunteers!

Youth Teaching Adults

Share your tech knowledge and skills while gaining valuable teaching and leadership experience. We'll train you on how to train adults.

Teen Advisory Group

Earn community involvement hours, build leadership skills, and have a say in teen activities at the library.

Reading Buddies Volunteers

Mentor children, grades 1-4, with reading practice and literacy-based activities from October through Hune.

Teen Night Entertainment

Are you a musician, singer, or DJ? Do you want to perform at one of our Teen Nights? This is your time to shine!

Tech - Audio Editing, Lighting & Sound

We are looking for teens who want to learn new skills in audio editing, lighting, and sound.

Kids' Program Support

Support our staff at programs like PD Days, Summer Camps and more.

Other Opportunities

From sorting our Lego Robotics sets to helping out with one-off programs and events, we're always looking for teen volunteers.

Step 1: Print and fill out an application and submit it to the library. Applications can be sent to programming@nflibrary.ca or dropped off at any NFPL location.

Step 2: Wait for your approval email with the Signup Genius instructions.

Step 3: Visit our Signup Genius page and sign up for volunteer gigs at the library.
