Getting Started With Pro Tools

Love music? Want to make your own? Join us in the Oakes Room Media Lab and get familiar with the basics of Pro Tools|First, a lite version of the industry standard recording software. Learn how to create a session, record, edit, and process audio, and work with MIDI virtual instruments to make your own music.

For all you future producers, learn the art of audio with Wow! Recording Studio's Joe Lapinski, whose credits include work with Ron Sexsmith, Sarah Harmer, Rheostatics' Dave Clark and a long list of Niagara artists and bands. Learn how to prepare for and set up your session, choose and place your mic, and get the most out of our new Oakes Room Media Lab. The best part? It's completely free and you earn community involvement hours by attending, with the opportunity for more hours when you come back and teach your new skills to others.

St. John Ambulance - Babysitting Basics

Developed by a team of child care professionals, trained babysitters, St. John Ambulance instructors and parents, this course teaches new babysitters the skills necessary to care for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers. It emphasizes safety, dealing with emergencies and first aid basics.
