Teen Summer Reading

We've got books, eBooks, eAudiobooks and graphic novels from serious to hilarious, summer romance to zombie apocalypse. Whether you need a book for the beach or to pass the time at work, talk to your friendly neighbourhood Librarian about finding a few titles that are just right for you.

Read Away Your Fines

Read Away Your Fines is a program for children and teens 0-17 years to help encourage reading.

For every 15 minutes of reading done, $1.25 is waived off a child's or teen's library account. Up to $5.00 can be waived per day.

Please pick up your Read Away Your Fines form to take home when you check out your books. Return it signed and we'll waive the amount.

Instagram Street Team

Ages 14-17 years. We're always on the lookout for social media-savvy teens for our Instagram Street Team. Earn community involvement hours by helping spread the word about library events and services through Instagram. Dungeons and Dragons

Ages 12 years and up. Game on! Join in on the action and adventure as we campaign our way through the world of Dungeons and Dragons. No previous gaming experience required!
Registration required.

St. John Ambulance - Babysitting Basics

Ages 11-15. Developed by a team of child care professionals, trained babysitters, St. John Ambulance instructors and parents, this course teaches new babysitters the skills necessary to care for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers. It emphasizes safety, dealing with emergencies and first aid basics.

Reading Buddies Volunteers

Ages 14-17 If you like working with children, enjoy reading, and want to help emerging readers, we need you! Reading Buddies volunteers mentor children in Grades 1-4 with reading practice, literacy-based activities and fun. Reading Buddies runs from September to June.
