The Creator Space

The Sir Harry Oakes Room was, for many years, home to our Local History collection. We have since relocated those materials to climate-controlled storage for proper preservation.

The room has been repurposed as a recording studio, textile art makerspace, and editing and conversion lab… your Creator Space.

Below is more information about the available equipment and services, along with guides for getting started and relevant learning resources.

Please contact us by email or at 905-365-8080 for booking information or general inquiries.

Using the Creator Space

The space is for use of the computer workstations, instruments, conversion equipment, textile tools, button makers, etc. It is not available for private study or business meetings.

Users must fill out a waiver before entering their booked session in the space.

Any created or converted digital content will need a method of transfer (portable drive, email, cloud storage, etc.). The NFPL does not currently provide any such tools.
