The Library Is Open Again!

Have you heard the news?

The Library is open!

Niagara Falls Public Library has re-opened for in-person browsing, borrowing and computer access at three of its locations. This re-opening is our new Browse, Borrow & Go service. Services that will be available in-person are holds pick up, print pick up, photocopying, computer access and browsing for materials. All our in-person customers will go through Public Health’s COVID screening process and must wear a mask. We ask that everyone maintain social distancing and follow the directional arrows, rules and procedures while in the Library. We have missed all our customers and are very pleased to be expanding our services to safely allow customers to return. Browse, Borrow & Go is available during our open hours!

For those of our customers who enjoy our contactless holds pick up service, please make an appointment for the Victoria Avenue Library’s Curbside Pick Up on Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Take and Go service is also available at the Stamford Centre Library on Wednesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Don’t forget us at the Niagara Falls Farmer’s Market every Saturday. Just place your holds using the Farmer’s Market as your pick up location and once we have your materials, they will be there for you on that next Saturday morning.

Our virtual program registration has begun! Don’t miss out on our great fall lineup for virtual programs for adults and children. From keyboarding classes for kids to Walkabout Wednesdays, Tech Time help, and book clubs, we’re here online. Check out our fall lineup of programs!

Niagara Falls Public Library enriches, inspires, empowers and links the community through our resources, services and spaces. In challenging times, we endeavour to help all our customers find what they need through dedicated service and commitment to excellence. We’re always smiling behind those masks!

The holidays are over and spring is just around the corner so it sounds like a good time to purge, as they say, all that is unnecessary and start fresh. This may be easier said than done. For some of us, it means clearing out all that we had collected in 2020 and packing it up for donation or worse yet, the landfill!

It’s only the end of January, but admit it: we can already sense that warmer weather is on its way. And with that comes the desire to get out of the cities and explore the great outdoors.

The Niagara Falls Public Library is pleased to continue to offer live virtual programming!

December is just around the corner and you do not want to miss our exciting virtual programs!

Bookgartners is back! Register for our three week session running Tuesdays and participate in activities and games based on the works of well loved children’s authors.

Three scenarios - does one fit you?

Picture this, you’ve worked hard on this assignment for school and poured all of your energies into getting it all written up. You admire your work, the charts, graphs and beautiful pics you’ve added. You hit the print button on your computer and the flashing printer window appears -- out of ink!

The Library is open!

While the world has been busy working through how to deal with the coronavirus, the Library has been working hard on how to provide services and more recently, how to re-open safely.

On June 8, the Niagara Falls Public Library began Curbside Pick Up at the Victoria Avenue Library location. As a compliment to the digital collection, the Library is offering access to its physical collections through a Pick Up service that is safe for customers and Library staff.
