TD Summer Reading Club 2018

Kids can keep reading all summer long with this year's TD Summer Reading Club. For your free registration kit, stop by any library location starting Friday, June 29th. The TD Summer Reading Club is Canada's biggest bilingual summer reading program, where kids of all ages, interests and abilities can read books, have fun and earn prizes. Back by popular demand: read for beads! Build your own personalized bead necklace, bracelet or keychain one book at a time. Complete a challenge and earn a limited-edition Summer Reading Club Brag Tag.

Niagara Falls Public Library offers Early Literacy Programs for all ages - find the one that's right for you!

Register at any NFPL location. Fall programs run from October 9th to November 19th. Registration opens September 4th.

Literacy programs at Niagara Falls Public Library are FREE.

Babytime

For the youngest babies and their adult caregivers. If you're not yet walking and talking, this is the program for you! Come and have fun with music, rhymes, tickles and bounces. Bring a blanket and let us introduce you and your baby to a variety of board books and activities.

Creation Station

Glue and sparkles and paper, oh my! Join us for our Creation Station program to turn your imagination into art! We'll supply all the creative materials you'll need to make something dazzling. All ages.

Kids' Reading Club

Need a break after school? Sit back and relax while you listen to a great read-aloud chapter book. Parents do not attend the program. Ages 8+ years.

PD Day Drop-In Fun

Summer Camps

Kindergarten 101

Help your child get Kindergarten-ready with Kindergarten 101, our kindergarten-style storytime routine designed to foster independence and play-based learning. Parents and caregivers foster independence by leaving the program (but not the library). For the final 15 minutes, caregivers return to participate in activities with their child. 
Children must be starting kindergarten for the first time in Fall 2018.

Building in 3D

Design and create 3D objects with the Library's Media lab's host of software and tools. Explore design concepts and prototyping, plan and build your d# objects, and then print them with our 3D printers. St. John Ambulance Home Alone

The Home Alone program teaches participants how to deal with emergencies and other potentially serious situations as well as phone calls and visitors, recognize hazards and follow home safety procedures. They will also learn first aid basics, healthy eating, fire safety and how and when to use 911. Ages 9 years and up.

St. John Ambulance - Babysitting Basics

Developed by a team of child care professionals, trained babysitters, St. John Ambulance instructors and parents, this course teaches new babysitters the skills necessary to care for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers. It emphasizes safety, dealing with emergencies and first aid basics.
